Can I use Pinter Packs with Hoppers in the Pinter 1?Updated a month ago
Any Pinter Packs that don’t include a Hopper are fully compatible with the Pinter 1.
We know it can be tempting to experiment, but Pinter Packs that do include a Hopper aren’t recommended for use with the Pinter 1.
Why Not?
Hoppers are designed specifically for the Pinter 3, which includes a dedicated Hopper inlet at the back for safe and precise use.
The flavour is extremely concentrated, and each Hopper is carefully tailored to the specific Fresh Press it comes with.
Once unsealed, the Hopper starts to oxidise, which can spoil the flavour of your beer if added manually.
What If I Add It Directly?
You risk overpowering the brew or creating an unbalanced flavour.
Adding it after tapping or dropping it into the beer isn’t recommended — you won’t get the perfectly hopped beer we’ve designed for you.
For the best experience, we suggest choosing Pinter Packs without a Hopper for use with the Pinter 1.
